Introduction
The National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) is conducting a follow up LQAS survey to measure progress made by the Malaria Booster Program supported by World Bank in 9 States (7 intervention and two control States).
Geographic distribution of States
The 9 states are located in two regions: North and South. They are again divided into 4 zones: Bauchi, Kano, Anambra and Delta. In the North, Bauchi zone include Bauchi, Gombe while Kano zone comprised of Kano and Jigawa sates. In the South, the Anambra Zone has two states namely Anambra and Akwa Ibom while Delta Zone includes Delta and Rivers. Of the 9 states, the malaria control program is implemented in 7 states.
